Re: Same command, different results w/Debian & CentOS

Hi sreinhardt, I'm slowly getting caught up on stuff. Emphasis on "slowly." I just installed 2.0.3 on one of my Debian servers and I'm still getting the same result: root@CSDeb:/home/jobee/Downloads/nagios-plugins-2.0.3# /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_disk -V check_disk v2.0.3 (nagios-plu...

Re: Same command, different results w/Debian & CentOS

Thanks sreinhardt, I found something different: Debian root@CSDeb:/home/jobee# /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_disk -V check_disk v1.4.15 (nagios-plugins 1.4.15) root@CSDeb:/home/jobee# CentOS [root@CenTest jobee]# /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_disk -V check_disk v1.5 (nagios-plugins 1.5) [root@Ce...

Re: Same command, different results w/Debian & CentOS

Thanks abrist, and sorry about the slow reply -- I'm working on implementing VMware at work. Adding the quotes didn't help: root@CSDeb:/home/jobee# su nagios -c "/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_disk -w 20% -c 10% -p /dev/sda2" DISK OK - free space: /dev 10 MB (100% inode=99%);| /dev=0MB;8;...

Re: Same command, different results w/Debian & CentOS

Hi abrist, and yes sda2 exists in the Debian system: root@CSDeb:/home/jobee# ls -la /dev/sda2 brw-rw---T 1 root disk 8, 2 Sep 12 12:49 /dev/sda2 root@CSDeb:/home/jobee# root@CSDeb:/home/jobee# fdisk -l Disk /dev/sda: 21.5 GB, 21474836480 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 2610 cylinders, total 41943...

Re: Same command, different results w/Debian & CentOS

Hi tmcdonald, I just triple-checked and both commands are identical. The top one is Debian and the bottom one is CentOS: command[check_sda2]=/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_disk -w 20% -c 10% -p /dev/sda2 command[check_sda2]=/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_disk -w 20% -c 10% -p /dev/sda2 Thanks, Joe B

Same command, different results w/Debian & CentOS

Hey all, I was just going through my Nagios Service Status pages and found an oddity regarding my disk monitoring -- I'm getting different results with the same command on my Debian and CentOS servers. Here's my service description: define service { use generic-service host_name CSDeb,CenTest servic...

Re: Installed NRPE on Nagios server port 5666 connection ref

Sorry everyone, I just found this open thread. Yes I did get it working; Nuke and Repopulate is an extreme yet highly effective maneuver. Thanks for all the help!

Thanks,

Re: No check_snmp under libexec

Hmmm... I just installed my Nagios Plugins AGAIN and now I have check_snmp and my snmp errors are disappearing off of the Nagios web page. I wonder what I was doing wrong before... Thanks slansing.

Thanks,

Joe B

Re: No check_snmp under libexec

Well, I don't seem to have a configure.log file anywhere on my server:

Code: Select all

[root@Nagios jobee]# find / -name configure.log
[root@Nagios jobee]#
Where should it be?

@ slansing, I'll take a look at that link and see what I can figure out.

Thanks,

Joe B

Re: No check_snmp under libexec

Thanks tmcdonald but it's just not there:

Code: Select all

[root@Nagios jobee]# find / -name check_snmp
[root@Nagios jobee]#
Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Joe B
