Re: Setup SNMP Traps on NetBotz 450

vAJ, my comments weren't directed at you, it was miltchev's comment that I felt was totally out of line and uncalled for from a vendor. As for the rest of the Nagios support staff, you guys need to understand that we don't have the time or the resources for our IT staff to become "experts"...

Re: Setup SNMP Traps on NetBotz 450

I've got a request sitting on my desk to renew our support contract at a cost of around $4,500.00. I don't appreciate being told to go read a freakin book when I'm spending that kind of money for support. Additionally, I've got a ton of other things I need to do around here besides play with Nagios....

Re: Setup SNMP Traps on NetBotz 450

I may be making this more complicated than it needs to be. If I do an SNMP Walk on this device, I get a long list stuff but nothing that indicates anything about being a sensor. If there was some way I could identify the sensors, I can just do a normal SNMP Active check and not worry about trying to...

Re: Setup SNMP Traps on NetBotz 450

Yes to the install script, I ran that yesterday. Doesn't mean I did it right, but it said it completed successfully. Here's the outputs you requested: [root@hhscnagios mibs]# ll -d /usr/share/snmp/mibs drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Oct 8 15:43 /usr/share/snmp/mibs And this: [root@hhscnagios mibs]# ll ...

Re: Setup SNMP Traps on NetBotz 450

iptables is good. I couldn't go to the link you posted for the script, looks like it got cut off in the post, but if you're referring to the script to install snmptt support, yes I did that because the first time I looked for the snmptt log it said the directory did not exist. After running the inst...

Re: Setup SNMP Traps on NetBotz 450

Well, I haven't had this much fun since I had my wisdom teeth pulled out through my ears. I downloaded the NetBotz 450 MIB from Netbotz website, tried to upload it to Nagios XI, and from the Manage MIB page I get this: Capture.JPG I downloaded and extracted the file to my Windows desktop, browsed to...

Re: Setup SNMP Traps on NetBotz 450

Can't get these sites to download anything. MIB Depot has a notice on their main page that their downloads have been disabled because they were hacked. OID View just takes me to some search screen where it says stuff is loading, but it just sits there. Might be something blocked by our network, who ...

Re: Setup SNMP Traps on NetBotz 450

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. I have another question. This box has two sensors plugged into it. One is for detecting water, the other probe does temperature and humidity. I am assuming that the same SNMP Trap that I set up for this box will process the traps from all of these sensors, so is there ...
