Hi,
I need help with my Nagios core, I have a set in the clouds and my hosts on the private network, but when my host stand down is not detected by Nagios and the status does not change.
Has anyone experienced this?

Is Nagios actually actively monitoring those host's? Do you have a direct route to their addresses for ping checks? If you manually ping one of those addresses from your Core server's CLI does it show that it is unreachable?
