Hi,

Thanks for this. i replaced the file (after saving a backup of the original) and corrected its ownership and permissions back to the same as the original file.

I tested using the windows time service on one of our monitored servers as its not a critical service.

The notification fired after the service object reached a HARD down state. the email notification was sent , but still contains the double dash, when I remove the dash i get access to nagios but am advised that i do not have any permission to look at anything.

however .... i received notification this morning that the license renewal for this (and its sister) Nagios server has been paid and we shortly got the serial details for 2013R1.6. So I'm happy if you want to close this ticket out and mark it down as "2011R3.3 + client pebcak = unresolved, superseded by 2012R1.6" if you like!
