schedule downtime

Post by Geo. »

Just a thought but it would be really handy if for scheduling downtime if we could bring up a page that shows an alphabetic list of all machines with checkboxes in front of them, check the boxes for the machines you want to schedule and then do them all in one shot. I constantly have to work on machines in an order that doesn't match the groups, it takes soooo long to do a couple dozen machines with the current web interface.... this would make it much faster.

You could submit downtime via the external command file. You have to figure out how to select them yourself, but if you made a script called "downtime" that worked like:

Code: Select all

# downtime -H HOSTNAME -f from_time <-d duration | -t to_time>
Then you could script the use of your script.
