Apache hits Monitoring
Re: Apache hits Monitoring
I realize this is an old topic, but in the interest of making sure that everyone gets answers to their questions, I thought I would respond.
First, you need to be more specific.
What sort of "hits" do you mean? You mean you want to monitor how many time a particular web page gets hit? Or how many times all your pages are being served up under Apache? My suggestion would be to start with something like awstats to provide Apache metrics, and then if you really want to get that information into Nagios, make Nagios screen-scrape information off your awstats page to create alerts for whatever you're looking for.
