XI Installation - PHP update needed

Postby srrhd » Tue Feb 07, 2012 2:18 am

Hi,

We Tryied to install NSTI on our NagiosXI, the installation seems to have worked properly but when trying to access http://<IP_ADDRESS>/nsti, we got a blank page.

Looking into httpd's error_log, gives:
Code: Select all
[Tue Feb 07 10:59:54 2012] [error] [client <CLIENT_IP_ADDRESS>] PHP Fatal error:  Undefined class constant 'ATTR_DEFAULT_FETCH_MODE' in /usr/local/nsti/include/functions/redbean/rb.php on line 51

This error seems to force the update of PHP from php-5.1.6-27.el5_5.3 to php-5.2. As we have install the CentOS 5 to respect the best practice of NagiosXI does this update will bo compliant with NagiosXI ? I prefer to ask as we do not have a platform for test purpose...

Thanks for your answer.

Aurélien.

Aurelien,

Long time since I've seen you post!

CentOS 5 comes preinstalled with 5.1.6, while CentOS 6 comes with 5.3.x, so CentOS 6 shouldn't give issues, but in your case I'm testing it out right now on CentOS 5, which provides php53 in the EPEL repo, I've tested it before but I just want to make double sure. I'm going to install it and do some extensive tests on it and get back to you ASAP.

Aurélien,

I tested and documented how to get it working CentOS 5, I have started putting together the skeleton on a wiki and its currently on an unofficial development site, soon to be moved to Nagios.org, but for now, consult the following section:

Thanks,
