Installer stopped working on 5/2/15, I think.

To do what I was asked, I did this:

I got further. Thank you very much. But I still have a problem. Should I open a new posting?

How do I install Nagios? I am running ./fullinstall
It is giving me an error. Here is the tail of the output:

I did this in /etc/
chmod 777 sudoers
I re-ran the install script. But the error was the same. I don't know what access is denied. I am running the install script as root. I reverted the sudoers file to having 440 permissions.

So on RHEL 7 the steps in "6-firewall" will be executing:

I suspect that either systemctl or iptables-save is failing.

I ran the commands manually.

The two that seemed to fail were these:

How do I proceed?

I rebooted the server. I ran the ./fullinstall again. It failed again at the 6-firewll. I wonder if I shouldn't uninstall Nagios. The two word command whereis nagios finds this: /usr/bin/nagios

Enable your firewall and try again - Nagios installer assumes firewalld is up, in your case it doesn't appear to be for 1 reason or another:

So I suspect that firewalld is not installed which is causing this problem.

Seeing as you're not using a firewall let's comment out the lines that are not needed. In the 6-firewall file:

#	systemctl restart iptables.service

Now try running ./fullinstall
