Hello,
I just installed the free trial of NagiosXI and was trying to setup a new host to monitor using "Monitoring Wizard". Step one shows Website, Website Transaction, Windows Desktop, Windows Servers, etc., but nothing for Linux. So, how do I create a new Linux host to be monitored if it's missing from the wizard?

Re: Monitoring Wizard missing Linux
I followed the steps from this post: http://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=92
...but I get the following error when uploading the linux-server.zip file:
Wizard installation failed.
If I am supposed to unzip this file, what am I supposed to upload from the zip?

What about this post? Does anyone have an answer for this one?
Re: Monitoring Wizard missing Linux
Sorry that linux-servers are not functional on the free trial addition, our development focus is else where.
Re: Monitoring Wizard missing Linux
The closest you can get is with generic network dev. But thats only shows ping.
It sucks that Linux wizard doesnt come with the trial. Are their more things then that?
Like more reports and dashlets. I hope theres more reports because right now, im not so mutch impressed...

Re: Monitoring Wizard missing Linux
Here are the issues corrected, but not yet released.
- Core config manager shifts empty ARGx macros forwards.
Core config manager nags user about empty ARGx macros and possible missing host/service variables.
Switch configuration wizard doesn't allow port name overrides.
- Login fails on IE8.
Monitoring HTTPS service is not intuitively obvious with the current Wizard.

So, I have to spend $1,300 to see if this will meet my needs on Linux?...and if it doesn't?mmestnik wrote:Sorry that linux-servers are not functional on the free trial addition, our development focus is else where.
