Downgrade from Nagios XI to Nagios Core.

Post by RAQItSupport »

Hi all,

We are currently using Nagios XI (paid version) and we want to move back to Nagios Core. (Free version).

Is there a migration guide that can be used?

We are currently using the following Nagios XI version:
2012R1.6

We want to go to the most up to date version of Nagios Core.

Could someone please direct me in the right direction?

Thank you!

There is not really a downgrade direction, you could either copy your config files out and place them in a new Core system, or you could hand remove the nagios xi directories and php files. Though that is a bit messy, all previous uninstall scripts remove not only XI, but core, and all of it's required tools.

Ok thanks Slansing.

I'll move the config files out of the current install and place them into a new Core system.

Thanks for your help!
