Re: Nagios Log Server - migration to 2026

Per the suggestion of Nagios Support, we simply deleted the bogus entries on the new server for the certificates, then re-added / imported them manually, and we are now able to authenticate via LDAP without issue. If port 80 (or 443) is required for the migration, you may wish to update your documen...

Re: Nagios Log Server - migration to 2026

We are running on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. We never used that method to add users, it never seem to work for us previously. We always just manually configured each user to authenticate against LDAP. I've opened a ticket with Nagios Support. From the output of the php command, it looks like the migration pr...

Re: Nagios Log Server - migration to 2026

I have the new server up and running, looks like it did migrate the settings over, including LDAP settings, accounts, certificates. However, when we try to login using our LDAP credentials, it is not working. On the old server, I remember we had to do something special to get it working... something...

Re: Nagios Log Server - migration to 2026

I kind of just meant the migration in general, really the migration of the audit log. The migration is still going. I am not keeping that php command going all the time, I just run it every now and then to see if it is still going. Should I keep it running all the time? If so, I'll have to use "...

Re: Nagios Log Server - migration to 2026

Looks like it is still going. Perhaps 30 days was too much, and I should truncate further.

Re: Nagios Log Server - migration to 2026

I have set it to 30 days, and trimmed it to 30 days. Anything else I need to do, or should the operation finally finish automatically on the target server?

Re: Nagios Log Server - migration to 2026

How long is the command supposed to run until it is finished? Been going for a while now... (maybe 30 mins?). Just seems to be a lot of this... Migrating index nagioslogserver_log hit type: MAINTENANCE id: AZk10yl6hNdxeYGrcYqN index: nagioslogserver_log, type: MAINTENANCE, id: AZk10yl6hNdxeYGrcYqN, ...

Re: Nagios Log Server - migration to 2026

I re-deployed a VM so we started fresh, and I tried to only check the box to migrate log server settings, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I tried to restart the server after giving it some time, to no avail. The index from 4/13 is 27.9GB in size. We have others that are 29GB, 30.1GB, etc. Not su...
