Re: Deleted Hosts still appear in Host Status Detail ...
Okay, will have to do this after a Change Management request and get approval. I can't do this on Production systems without going through the Change Management process.
You can lock this post. If I have any issues after this is completed, I'll create a new post.
Thanks!

Re: PHP warning when upgrading Nagios XI ...
Just a note: I was supposed to be out of doing Nagios support for the past 2 years but still get sucked in since nobody else knows as much about it as I do (supported it for 7 years) and being short-staffed I have provided assistance when I can. I'll try to tackle this when approved. Thanks for info...

Deleted Hosts still appear in Host Status Detail ...
Hello: I have upgraded to Nagios XI 5.8.3 yesterday, Sun. 5/16/2021. I noted that my Infrastructure Team decommissioned 2 Hosts (with associated Services). I deleted the Services via "CCM > Monitoring > Services", then Apply Configuration. I deleted the Hosts via "CCM > Monitoring > H...

Re: localhost CPU load average Critical ...
First, THANK YOU for that information!
It "should" be behind a Firewall, BUT has ports 80 and 443 open for public facing access.
I will need to encourage getting it inside the DMZ and have the support team access only through VPN.

Re: localhost CPU load average Critical ...
The "/tmp/avalonsaber" executable magically recreated itself and was running again. Both Apache and Apache group are owners of the file, and I haven’t heard of that executable before. This is what I could identify by running “ps -aux | grep "avalonsaber"” apache 5083 166 14.6 243...

Re: localhost CPU load average Critical ...
The localhost CPU load has calmed down and we're keeping an eye one it. I have noted something suspicious that was running on the server: /tmp/avalonsaber I have killed that for now and made it non-executable and will be looked into, but I'm not saying this was the main issue. Please keep this open,...

Re: "Update in progress .." still appearing ...
Fixed. I used "https://support.nagios.com/kb/article/nagios-xi-reset-upgrade-status-in-web-interface-851.html" again, identified the correct database, and followed the rest of the information/solution. After that, I had to rerun the "Check for Updates" again to clear the error/me...
