Nagios stopped working after CentOS packages upgrade
Hello guys, Nagios worked well and peachy until recently, so there was no need to write or report anything until few days ago it just broke after occasional packages upgrade. Note: I did not upgrade Nagios version in a while, so could be conflict at that end as well. Nagios in web is loading up fron...

Re: SMTP - after debian ugprade stops working
Ok seems like issue was on debian package end. Today they released new versions and security releases for following: libexpat1 libexpat1-dev libsnmp-base libsnmp-dev libsnmp30 snmp snmpd After the upgrade I did recheck and it seems that its fixed, checks are working as intended. Seems like it was SN...

Re: SMTP - after debian ugprade stops working
Is the Check Command actually "check_xi_service_smpt" ? SMPT is different from SNMP, though they're often confused because the acronyms are so similar. Make sure that the Check Command is using the right check_xi_service_snmp_ command. Otherwise the only thing I would change would be to a...

SMTP - after debian ugprade stops working
Hi guys, Didn't have issues in a while, but seems like I got huge problem at my end. SMTP and SMTPD packages got released on Debian. I updated them and everything broke. By the time I fished with all servers that day, it was over. Had to ack them over the weekend due that servers were ok at time and...

Re: Load service - what are best values
I personally wouldn't be alarmed, if this was my server, based on what you describe, but again, it's up to your organizations specifications. I see well I'm wondering then about basic setup, what is the best then load per CPU to setup?? Is there some global scale knowhow, like Load x2 per CPU or ev...

Re: Load service - what are best values
Is that good or not? Can server CPU handle with ease bellow doubled load or are these merits on point? This is really subjective depending on your needs, desires and application. A load > 1.0 per core means that a process will have to wait before being sent to the CPU for processing, but many appli...

Load service - what are best values
Greetings fellas, I recently added server Load service and from what I got online values should be 0.9 for critical per core for 1m and 0.8 for warning etc etc for the rest. Thing is, should these checks be like this? If I remember from my past job, is it wise to set values higher? Like CPU should b...

Re: Nagios XI for non-profits
We are already using Nagios XI and I like the web interface for it.
But if the need is big, will have to switch to it.
