I would recommend using the manual upgrade process. You'll find the steps on the second page of the guide below.

Hi Don,
The check_json plugin does not support OAuth at this time. I'd have to get a feature request submitted on that.
There's probably a way to script out some automation here to get around the 24-hour expiration, but that would have to be done outside the plugin.
