NagiosXI VMware Plugin Does Not Support vSphere 8

Hello, We are currently trying to set up the NagiosXI VMware plugin ( https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagiosxi/docs/Monitoring-VMware-With-Nagios-XI.pdf ) to monitor our cluster. However it has been brought to my attention that the plugin still uses the vSphere 7 Perl SDK. The vSphere 7 Perl SDK...

Re: Programatically Checking Nagios Health

Hey ssax, you can mark this as resolved when you are ready. I don't think any more feedback is required. Thanks again.

Re: Programatically Checking Nagios Health

Hello ssax, I did find those endpoints reading the API documentation before, maybe checking if 'is_currently_running' from system/status is not 1 is enough. I was hoping for an endpoint that would give me a JSON response with the information that you can normally get from the system component status...

Programatically Checking Nagios Health

Hello, I am currently trying to set up external health checks for Nagios XI. Nagios XI has become an important component of our environments monitoring stack and there has become a need to ensure that it is up and running correctly. For most of the products we use there is an API endpoint to query f...

Re: RHEL 8.2 nagios-plugins-all package conflict

Hey,

We can probably close this discussion. I tested using a RHEL, 8.2 and RHEL 8.3, directly attached to EPEL. I was able to install the plugins without issues. The testing gave me a few leads on what might be causing the issue in regards to Satellite. Thanks for the help

Re: RHEL 8.2 nagios-plugins-all package conflict

Hey, I realized the 2.3.3 packages are not in the upstream EPEL. They are in our repository because Satellite can lock specific versions of content to different host groups (i.e. most of our clients are not using 2.3.4 currently). I am installing a fresh copy of RHEL at the moment to see if the same...

Re: RHEL 8.2 nagios-plugins-all package conflict

Here is the output of the requested commands. Please be aware the EPEL repository, points at an EPEL mirror, managed by Satellite in our environment. The packages were refreshed last Monday, and are scheduled to refresh every week. [root@mjackson-rhl8 ~]# yum repolist Updating Subscription Managemen...
