NCPA Linux update is fragile
Every time NCPA updates it pauses the apt upgrade process waiting for user input (even when run with apt upgrade -y). This also leads to some users who don't know any better selecting to use the new config file which wipes out the NCPA community_string and breaks communication with Nagios XI. What c...

Re: NCPA Memory Performance Data is Broken
It took significantly more work than that article describes since I had already worked around the issue to get the collection running again. The old RRD files had to be copied out to another directory along with the XML file in order to run the parameter fix script on them and then the combination p...

Re: NCPA Memory Performance Data is Broken
I attached the two files from one of the servers here. Hopefully this can be an automated process to apply to all of our Ubuntu servers. Is stability between versions something that will be considered for future NCPA updates? I would hope that such a routine update wouldn't break data collection as ...

Re: NCPA Memory Performance Data is Broken
Thanks for the reply, but the solution did not work for me. Running the python script results in an error: ERROR: line 5962: expected </row> element but found <v> Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/nagios/simple-rrd-merge.py", line 50, in <module> main() File "/home/nagios...

NCPA Memory Performance Data is Broken
I have some Ubuntu servers that show "no data to display" for NCPA memory usage in recent performance graph history. The old data is still there if the time range is bumped out far enough. The Memory_Usage.rrd file has not been updated since the date the graph stops. I did briefly move the...

NCPA update stops update process and/or breaks config
Every time NCPA updates, it pauses the apt upgrade process waiting for user input (even when run with apt upgrade -y). This also leads to users selecting to use the new file which wipes out the password being used and breaking communication with Nagios XI. What can be done to avoid this situation on...

NCPA repo for Ubuntu 20.04?
Looks like a repo hasn't been added for Ubuntu 20.04 yet (https://repo.nagios.com/deb/focal). Is this something that was missed?
I installed with the 19+ deb package, but this is certainly less friendly and the repo method is even listed as the preferred method on the NCPA page.
