Re: Critical - Socket Timeout after upgrade to 5.8.2
What is the output of this command from the Nagios XI machine? hash nmap || yum install -y nmap nmap -Pn -p 12489 excalibur.idir.bcgov I was able to resolve this just now and it looks like you were on the right path. I did a temporary restore of the VM before the update to 5.8.2 and when looking, f...

Re: Critical - Socket Timeout after upgrade to 5.8.2
An example of one of the commands is: /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nt -H excalibur.idir.bcgov -s "OyT43s1SNLTZJ94s" -p 12489 -v CPULOAD -l 5,80,90 CRITICAL - Socket timeout ip addr: 1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000 link/loopback...

Re: Critical - Socket Timeout after upgrade to 5.8.2
Thanks for the reply but I probably wasn't clear in my terminology. This was an update rather than "upgrade". It was installed on the command line on the same machine - no IP address or machine changes happened, as it's the same server...just a bump from 5.7.2 to 5.8.2

Critical - Socket Timeout after upgrade to 5.8.2
We upgraded to Nagios XI 5.8.2 on friday (from 5.7.2) and since then we're getting "Critical - Socket Timeout" errors on all checks with check_xi_service_nsclient No other changes have been made and I have confirmed ports are still open. An example command is: $USER1$/check_nt -H $HOSTADDR...

Re: PDF Report Creation extremely slow
Thanks for your help - I tried a bunch more and it seems I can create and download a 25 page PDF almost instantly but if it gets up to 35, 40, 50 pages or above it just won't do it.
I'll submit that ticket.

Re: PDF Report Creation extremely slow
I migrated this VM from an older host to a newer clustered host, with newer, more powerful CPUs. I also bumped the VM from 6 to 12 cores and from 8GB Ram to 24GB. I set php.ini to give Apache 18GB of Ram to use. Nothing has changed - I can run smaller reports - i.e. PDF with 10 pages, almost instant...

Re: PDF Report Creation extremely slow
I want to clarify - I'm not sure if we're misunderstanding each other. The GUI reports are fine on screen - I can do any of them quickly. It's specifically when making a PDF download where it bogs down. I can try to increase resources again and see what happens - I'm on vacation this week so will do...

Re: PDF Report Creation extremely slow
It still doesn't seem to be working. To be clear, I can download PDFs for small reports but once they get a bit bigger it just bogs down the whole server and never finishes. For instance, I can run a report with 16 different graphs and download to PDF. This finishes almost instantly. However, if I r...

Re: PDF Report Creation extremely slow
To answer, your questions, we don't have any sort of Proxy set up. I also looked through php.ini and don't see any reference to Memcached. I'll PM the php.ini and also a couple of .txt files that contain the output of the curl commands you requested.
Thanks,
Scott

Re: PDF Report Creation extremely slow
I'd like to keep this open - I got pulled away for other work and this isn't "critical" now but I'll come back to it in the next week and see if we can get it resolved.
