Re: NagVis Authorization

I do not. It currently only works with the default admin account. I tried configuring LDAP authentication the same way I did for the Nagios web interface, but alas, no luck. I have also since tried uncommenting the lines logonmodule="LogonMixed" logonenvvar="REMOTE_USER" logonenv...

NagVis Authorization

Hello, I've recently gotten NagVis 1.9 up and running on a CentOS 7 machine, and I'd like to allow authorization besides the built-in admin. There are options to do this in the file /etc/httpd/conf.d/nagvis.conf : AuthName "NagVis Access" AuthType Basic AuthUserFile /usr/local/nagios/etc/h...

Re: MKLivestatus No UNIX socket existing

In the end, I changed /usr/lib64/nagios/mk-livestatus back to /usr/lib/nagios/mk-livestatus. I had to make the directories all the way down from /usr/lib and chown them, and there are some configuration options in NagVis that need to change, but it works now.
Thank you very much.

Re: Issues with check_wmi_plus checkservice

Figured it out! Turns out the commands provided at https://edcint.co.nz/checkwmiplus/documentation/nagios-command-definitions/ don't all work as written. Any instance where $ARGx$ is surrounded by single quotes, the command won't work. Removing the quotes makes it work fine. Hopefully this helps any...

Issues with check_wmi_plus checkservice

Hello, I've recently set up basic agentless monitoring for a number of Windows servers using the check_wmi_plus plugin. I've run into an issue though: the "checkservice" command always comes back saying there is no service of that name running, even if there definitely, absolutely, 100% is...

Re: check_wmi_plus options

So with that, you might have to make your own check. But hey, if you make a more robust WMI check, you could post it to the Nagios Exchange, and help out the next person who comes looking for such functionality. I think I might do exactly that, even if mcapra 's suggestion works out. All for paying...

check_wmi_plus options

Hello, I am in the process of implementing the check_wmi_plus plugin for agentless active checking, and I was wondering if anyone here could help me with a couple of things. Having read through the documentation at https://github.com/speartail/checkwmiplus/blob/master/check_wmi_plus.README.txt , the...

MKLivestatus No UNIX socket existing

Hello, I'm currently in the process of setting up NagVis, and one of the prerequisites is that mk-livestatus be up and running on your Nagios server. This is proving difficult. The website for mk-livestatus doesn't have much in the way of installation instructions, so I went off of this guide here: ...

Re: NSCP Settings Escape Character

Sure enough, the quotation marks needed to be escaped twice, once for nscp settings and once for powershell. The final command reads as follows: & .\nscp settings --path `"/settings/scheduler/schedules`" --key `"Drive Space C:`" --set `"check_drivesize `"`"warn...

Re: NSCP Settings Escape Character

Interesting... It does work from command prompt, but not from powershell. I wonder if I have to escape all the quotation marks in powershell using the ` character as well.
I'll try that and get back to you.
