Re: Issues after Nagios upgrade to NagiosXi 2011
Ok so I upgraded and the only problem I can report is that Everything is broken when opening it in google chrome. Works fine on IE. Not sure if this is something on my install but it shows the menus and then everything else is just white.

Re: NagiosXI and snort.
I'm really just interested if this is normal snmp monitoring behavior between nagios and a switch because if it is I have no problem suppressing the alerts, But it seems like to me it's an excessive amount of requests so I didn't know if there was something I could configure to reduce it?

Ok attached in a .rar archive are 2 .pcap files. One should be the SNMP public access udp and the other should be the SNMP Request udp.

Re: NagiosXI and snort.
The second screen shot is all of the tcp data coming through snort it does the same thing as wireshark/tcpdump.
I can get you the payload data of the packets in pcap format from snort in just a second.

NagiosXI and snort.
I have a interesting possible issue going on. I am running nagiosxi monitoring a few servers and switch's on the same networking I am running snort on a different box. Everything seems to coexist and work fine except I am seeing in snort a TON of udp packets coming from nagiosxi going to 1 particula...

Re: False service check notifications.
Well not sure what happened but I was investigating it further and it appears to have cleared up on its own. Also just discovered now that our guests are automatically shifting between hosts via vmotion so the esx plugin is only valid for host machines now because if a guest moves hosts then It will...

False service check notifications.
I have a interesting glitch going on with our xi setup. First off we have a core2quad system with 3gb of ram and 2x 1tb WD black drives. We are monitoring our vmware cluster with this using the vmware wizzard. We have a total of 5 host servers and our first host sometimes gives a False service check...
