I found a log file nagios.log under the directory /opt/iexpress/nagios/var but that is not getting updated.
Last update Oct 17 2014.

I commented the host in the hostgroup file using # at the beginning of the hostname.

Nagios Log server is not in cluster in our environment. Is it still necessary to disable shard allocation. If yes, please let us know how to disable and enable shard allocation.
