Thank you for the reply and apologies for the delayed response, below are the results:

ls -d /var/run/nagios
/var/run/nagios

ls -l /var/run/nagios
total 0

Any help on this would be great

I get the below message when I run this command:

No lock file found in /var/run/nagios/nagios.pid

Any assistance is greatly appreciated
