Re: Apply Configuration working but says Not Applied anyways
Yeah I am wondering about the time zone thing too, this is a foreign site to us. Anyways on a side note, a few hours later the "Not Applied" suddenly worked, there were no config changes made in between, just wanted to try it one more time and all went well suddenly.

Apply Configuration working but says Not Applied anyways
Some of my services in the Configure view are showing in red, saying "not applied, Apply Configuration for changes to take effect". I hit Apply Configuration, get an OK result (green exclamation marks, saying my config is good and Nagios has been restarted), However, when I go into the Con...

Ok, sorry, I should have mentioned it, but I do have NSClient+ rolled out to my servers.

new to adding plugins/checks
Hi, I admit right up front as the subject says that I am new to adding new plugins and checks. Specifically, I am looking at this one here: http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Plugins/Operating-Systems/Windows/Check-Window-Process/details I see the plugin path on the server, but how would I configu...

Re: config file out of sync / date
Yes, I was applying the configuration, and it was returning a success. Also, under Tools -> Write Config Files, I was able to click the first 3 GO buttons with no errors. OK, now another odd thing. I have added a few more hosts and services today via the wizard. All the ones I added yesterday are no...

config file out of sync / date
Hi, I have a relatively new install of nagios. It was a R1.5 VM download that I have upgraded to the latest. I have created some new host groups, but on the Host Group page within the Core Config mgr I see 'Warning: configuration file is out of date!" Similarly, on the Services and Hosts sectio...

Re: Install question
Ok, we've figured it out. It turned out to be a DNS problem. Even after I updated the dns and restarted a few network services on the nagios server it was still caching the old IP, despite me being able to perform an nslookup on the server. I changed the config on the fusion server to access by IP r...

Re: Install question
It is a new install, so it is 2010R1.1 and the update page says I am up to date. From the fusion server, traffic goes out a Cisco ASA through the private cloud of my ISP (a few router hops), through the remote site's Cisco ASA and to the Nagios XI server. 10 seconds should be plenty of time. Like I ...

Re: Install question
nope. just remote locations. going through a private cloud, no vpn, nat, or proxy. They are going through firewalls, thats why I asked if anything needs to be open beside port 80.

Re: Install question
It is set to session, but I see the AUTH BAD error. I have verified several times that the password I supplied is correct. I can open the XI consoles with the same password in other tabs. Any clues? I have attached a SS.
