Bumping this in case anyone has any way to resolve this and remove the non sending hosts before the log count gets to zero.
Thanks

Issue when removing hosts
Hi, I removed some hosts yesterday and shut them down, I deleted all the old services and hosts in XI (version 5.8.3) Since I shut them down I receive a notification every hour stating that I have 8 non-sending host found. This is normal and I would expect it but my issue is until the log count drop...

Non sending hosts
Hi, We recently upgraded to NLS version 2.1.8 and every hour we are getting the email with 2 non-sending hosts but no hosts are listed in the unique hosts list with a log count of zero. 2 hosts were decommissioned yesterday and de-activated on XI which we would assume would stop the non-sending host...

Re: Service management/Initial State
Hi Vinh, I am sorry if I did not explain properly I will try now. XI has a service setup for myserver, this runs every few mins and checks for access to a file on a connected drive in the args, if all is well nothing happens. If the file is not accessible an event handler is called which runs a comm...

Re: Service management/Initial State
Good morning Vinh, The purpose of the script is to restart a service created on the Windows server when it does not see a connected drive. So in Nagios XI my service reports that it cannot see a string on the connected drive it changes to critical and when it changes to critical on the Windows serve...

Re: Service management/Initial State
Hi vtrac,
Thank you for your reply, my args seem to run ok it is just how I force the script to only run on 'critical' and I am unsure how to put a condition for this in my PS1 script so that it only runs at critical.

Re: check_http string not found issue
Hi Imiltchev, Many thanks, when I run the force immediate check (Home > Service Status > <your service>, click on Force an immediate check under the Quick Actions) as you suggest this does indeed work, when I try and use the -f follow this still errors. Is there a way to stop CCM escaping the questi...

Re: check_http string not found issue
Hi Benjamin, I have attached a screenshot of the check command from CCM and have tried wrapping the URL in single quotes to no avail. I am unsure of your question "how about the actual check results, are they failing?" As when I run the command on the command line it returns HTTP OK: HTTP/...

Host Freshness keeps alerting but no hosts in report
We found a case where a host was not sending logs, so we decided to try out host freshness. Every few hours or so it alerts. Looking at the 24 hour report, there is nothing on it. Seems to be alerting to nothing. The alert eventually clears and then will alert again. Does not seem to be reliable. Wh...
