A followup. I copied the service config files, deleted the valid checks and all the duplicates went away (along with the valid check). Yes, the web authentication is always successful. It's as soon as he logs into CCM, Nagstmon throuws a 401 error....even though it is sending the proper credentials.

This happens on any system he logs in, and it is only this 1 user that is having the issue, It happened in XI 2009 and 2011.

Hoping this belongs in the core section: For this one particular user, when we create a user/pass entry in /usr/local/nagiosxi/etc/htpasswd.users, when he configures Nagstamon it works fine. As soon as he logs into NagiosXI, then the Core Configuration Manager, he gets a 401 (Authorization Required)...

Sorry it has taken so long to respond, our Nagios migration has consumed all my cycles. The answer is no for all 3, and the problem still persists for all browsers. I installed a demo version on our old Nagios server and the problem does not exist....so that is odd. You can close this out if you wan...

Ah....ok. I tried that, and it didn't seem to send out any email....however, that would not have worked for what I was trying to do. So, I just added a DS record to the sendmail.cf file and took care of it that way. This can be closed.....but I am about to open another

In 2011R1.3, I have the mail server settings set to send from: DoNotReply@nagiosng.edgewebhosting.net and to use a particular relay server via SMTP.
