Exclude Host from Some Services - 2012

Provision XI server with Salt - Finalize Installation
Hello, we store all of our hosts configurations in Salt, so that if we need to provision a new server, it's all done automatically with a Salt-call. Running the new v2024 installation script does almost everything with the exception of the steps in "Finalize Installation" in which the pers...

Re: False Alarms on NRPE Service Checks
Second bump a month later. Really Nagios, no idea or suggestion? I really need to cut out these false alarms. I can't expect my people to take Nagios alerts seriously if it cries "wolf", and many times a day.

New Install Successful, but no web interface at URL
I just installed XI as root, using the curl script, which ran successfully, no error reported. I was directed to http://128.61.254.53/nagiosxi/, but get a message that site cannot be found. I've cycled nagios, httpd, and mariadb, and all are running. What do I need to check next?

Re: you do not have permission to view information for any of the hosts you requested
I do not have the default hostgroup linux-servers. And in my hostgroups.cfg file I have only two directives per host group, and neither is "member", for example: define hostgroup { hostgroup_name phoenix-slurm-hg alias phoenix slurm hg Nodes } Well, tried to add a member directive to servi...

Re: you do not have permission to view information for any of the hosts you requested
No, they do not. And neither do the hostgroups. Providing an entry from servicegroups.cfg and hostgroups.cfg sample service group in servicegroups.cfg: # Mon Aug 14 00:02:58 2023: define servicegroup { servicegroup_name phoenix-slurm-sg alias phoenix slurm sg Nodes } sample hostgroup in hostgroups.c...
