Artemis ActiveMQ Plugins for Nagios?
Hello XI community, I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with the 'newer' Artemis ActiveMQ solution over the 'classic' ActiveMQ solution? It seems to be a little different compared to the standard ActiveMQ implementations. My understanding is that there used to be an XML interface (as seen in the doc...

Sending Audit Logs to Third Party Service?
Hi, in XI it looks like the audit logs can be sent to Nagios Log Server. The configuration page allows choosing a hostname and port to use. Question here, what is the format of the file that will be sent for this process? Could we use a service of our own to ingest these logs rather than Nagios Log ...

Re: check_wmi_plus.pl
I'll add my two cents - we've also started noticing this issue on Windows servers as we update them. Seems like there is some time to figure out a solution based on the timeline from Microsoft. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/kb5004442-manage-changes-for-windows-dcom-server-security-featur...

Auth to API w/ username & password and store cookie?
Hello all, I have been investigating ways to query our Cisco APIC for our ACI deployment. There are some metrics that I have been able to pull from SNMP, however many of the metrics are only accessible via the API. To make things slightly more difficult, the API does not simply allow for creation of...

Re: Uploading MIB's after Nagios Update to 5.8.1
Hi @benjaminsmith,
Realized I had never replied to this thread.
We are on XI 5.8.3 currently - I tested uploading a MIB file through the web interface today and it is still creating the lines that say "Missing database entry".
Let me know if some additional info would be of any help.

Re: Correct usage of 'starttime' to query objects/statehisto
That indeed fixed the issues I was encountering. I think we mistakenly updated the system time from the terminal when the documentation states that we should just update it from the XI interface.
Thank you @gsmith

Re: Correct usage of 'starttime' to query objects/statehisto
Hi gsmith , It is interesting you bring that up. Our team recently standardized on UTC (GMT) time since we span multiple time zones, and the server was changed. This means I can run 'date' and output the expected results: Fri May 7 15:21:36 UTC 2021 However, I checked our system profile and can see ...

Correct usage of 'starttime' to query objects/statehistory?
Hi all, Trying to look at the API in order to have a better idea of how ServiceNow's Event Management module is collecting data from Nagios. In querying the objects/statehistory endpoint, what is the correct use of 'starttime'? I have an example based on what arguments ServiceNow uses, and I am addi...

Re: Nagios version of a Solarwinds IPAM
As someone who considered the SolarWinds IPAM module, I can understand the need to replace it. Nagios is primarily a monitoring platform. So no IPAM solution like SolarWinds has. If you were using SolarWinds IPAM to update your DHCP and DNS servers, you likely will need to pay for another solution. ...

Thank you @benjaminsmith,
After going through the steps provided, I started to see real statistics coming in. And after running through the wizard, things work like they should.
Appreciate the help!
