Re: Monitor service with brackets in name

This forum is obviously dead and should be closed. No support at all.

I found a solution in the mean time. sc config "Old service name" displayname= "New service name" on the Windows system.

Nagios - find interface name

Hi I have basically 2 questions: 1. How can I manually issue a certain command via console to manually start a check? Right now I am always downloading a .cfg file, change settings in switch.cfg for example, upload the file again, run pre-flight check, reload nagios service, issue new check, wait so...

Re: Change Status: Green when down! Not red

Thank you for the hint: That worked. I had to change the commands.cfg and add this: define command { command_name check_snmp_disabled command_line /usr/local/nagios/libexec/negate /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_snmp -H $HOSTADDRESS$ $ARG1$ } And switch the check in the switch.cfg like this: define ...

Change Status: Green when down! Not red

Hi I have a router with backup WAN connection. The router automatically switches WAN1 up when it detects that WAN2 is not working: When all is in normal operation WAN1 is down and WAN2 is up. WAN2 is fine in this case. It is green an does not notify me. But WAN1 in this scenario is down and red: Cur...

Ok. Also solved that. Value for comparing the uplink throughput was not yet recorded. Took some time, repaired itself automatically.

Re: new nagios server with old clients - snmp not working?

wget http://nagios.manubulon.com/nagios-snmp-plugins.1.1.1.tgz tar xzf nagios-snmp-plugins.1.1.1.tgz cd nagios_plugins/ ./install.sh Has now installed those plugins and now most of my services are finally green again. I am checking a few cisco switches with: check_command check_snmp_int!Gigabit.*.2....

Re: new nagios server with old clients - snmp not working?

ok, got that working again.
I had to re-install plugins from 2.3.3

Now still some SNMP plugins are missing.
I want this one: http://nagios.manubulon.com/

How do I get that installed? The same way I installed the "basic" plugins from 2.3.3?
