The quick answer is no. Nagios XI 5.8.8 was released on the 8th of March. You can track XI releases and changes via the product changelog:

Hi Frank, Unfortunately NPRE does not have a mechanism for deploying plugin updates. If you need to manually update we strongly recommend moving to NCPA which is our supported agent; NPRE is deprecated and we are no longer developing it. What version of XI are you using ?
