Re: Manually remove contact
When I had this issue, I used sed to delete the contact: For the area in quotes: the s indicates a string, then a slash. After the slash is the string to be deleted/replaced, then another slash. Then the string to replace (leave blank to just delete the first string. Then a slash. Then a lowercase g...

Re: Nagios XI - admin password lost
Whew! Good thing you have root access: SSH in to the box, and use the reset admin password script: /usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts/reset_nagiosadmin_password.php --password=newpassword If you want to use special characters, you can escape with a backslash "\": /usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts/reset...

Re: Find NCPA token
If the check is still good, you can either open the service in question, open the configure tab, select "re-configure this service", and the NCPA token will be listed on the "Monitor the service with this command line,", or you could go to the Core Config manager, select Services...

Re: Issue Monitoring Oracle Processes with 'check_procs'
Good morning, Of course! First, I tried to use the GUI (because no point reinventing the wheel if it's built in), but without success. Then I've been working with the below (with the correct IP and Token, but I scrubbed those). $ /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_ncpa.py -H x.x.x.x -t 'Token' -P 5693 ...

Re: Issue Monitoring Oracle Processes with 'check_procs'
Good afternoon Keith, We're on 5.8.7, and due to upgrade once we've done some migrations with LS. We're updating to NCPA (liking it quite a bit, but it's going to take a while to switch over completely. Especially because we're hitting a bit of the same issue with monitoring Oracle Processes: NCPA s...

Re: Issue Monitoring Oracle Processes with 'check_procs'
Good morning Keith, I apologize for the long delay: this took a back burner for a while. I can confirm I'm running v2.4.0 on Nagios itself. However, I don't have access to many of the systems we monitor (including this one). I am willing to bet it is older, as the return does not show the -X option....

Re: Log Server's Web Interface Timing Out
Good afternoon Perry, Whatever strangeness was happening with the authentication on our initial sign in has been resolved by upgrading. However, it appears that signing in via the Cluster's Hostname still forces the error "Could not authenticate. Invalid token given," as initially indicate...

Re: Log Server's Web Interface Timing Out
I was able to run a backup from Wednesday (3/16/2022): I can now log in to the web interface, and logs are being processed again. But there appears to be some corruption, still: many links are redirecting to the home page (example: Admin→Snapshots and maintenance, or if I try to edit user permission...

Re: Log Server's Web Interface Timing Out
Good morning Perry, As this issue seems to be getting worse (now the web GUI is not accepting any account logins, including the nagiosadmin account, despite changing the password successfully per https://support.nagios.com/kb/article.php?id=540), would I be able to escalate this issue to a ticket? I...

Re: Issue Monitoring Oracle Processes with 'check_procs'
Good afternoon Keith, I tried adding the -a, without luck: Current argument, returns 2 processes: [nagios@nagiosxi.state.nv.us ~]$ /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -2 -H 10.128.2.72 -t 30 -c check_active_procs -a ""1:1 ora_pmon_cetststcdb"" PROCS CRITICAL: 2 processes with ar...
