Obtaining Raw Data from NagiosXI and/or OPSview
I am currently working on completing my Masters Thesis project. In order to do so I need to be able to obtain the raw data accumulated in NagiosXI and/or OPSview. Because both of these are based off of the Nagios core, I assume the method to obtaining the raw data may be similar. This raw data is ne...

Re: Monitoring Windows with SNMP Walk Wizard
We use SolarWinds NPM with Netflow to monitor servers and networks, but my new bosses don't like the the continued cost of it every year and have asked me to look into open source variants. These are what I've found out: Cacti Nagios Core Icinga (fork of Nagios) Zabbix LibreNMS (fork of Observium) P...

Nagios plugins and frontends
Hi Observium let me down with the email alerts not working, although I do like the GUI and detailed port views. I'm installing and configuring Nagios in my lab environment now and a friend recommended Opsview. It has a free version for up to 25 hosts but we're already monitoring 60 devices and addin...

Re: Monitor windows process or service cpu usage
sort the processes list by "CPU Usage" high to low, and set refresh to high.
With 8 cores, you're looking for the process to keep popping up with 12% CPU Usage every few seconds.
Otherwise, do the same within resource monitor.
