Nagios XI Windows Folder Monitoring

Hi all! We recently brought Nagios XI into our environment to monitor all of our assets. Our environment consists of mainly Windows 2012-2019 servers, so I've been struggling to find a solution to this one. I've been working towards setting up folder monitoring for specific servers that check to mak...

Cannot change permissions when running rpmbuild

Currently I'm trying to change an spec file extracted from a nagios rpm package to create my own spec file. When trying to build to rpm I'm getting the following error: make[1]: Entering directory /home/mockbuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/nagios-1/base' make install-basic make[2]: Entering directory /home/mock...

try zenoss. To listen nrpe and forward email , you can write a simple script in python with nagios nerd (Nagios Event Radio Dispatcher). With nerd your script wait for an nagios's events and after you can perform omegle shagle voojio some task and finally sent email.

Monitoring recording via Nagios or similar

I'd like to automate monitoring BI to ensure that it is continuously recording and saving footage. It's happened a few times where BI just stops storing footage and I don't find out until a week or two later. I am using LibreNMS (similar to Nagios) and would like to have it monitor BI. How ome gle v...

Nagios check memory plugin

Why doesn't Nagios have a check_memory as part of the initial set of plugins that come by omegle shgale voojio default? Like check_http, check_load etc?

Thanks!

You don't have permission to access /nagios/ on this server

Hi I have been trying to setup nagios on mac and it definitely seems pretty easy but I am stuck at this point - I am unable to load the localhost/nagios/ page. I have the right configuration as far as I think. I have installed PHP and changed the httpd.conf to include "index.php" with inde...

Re: Nagios change Rule

To verify whether this is happening: Check your logs. Debian/Ubuntu: /var/log/syslog RHEL/CentOS: /var/log/messages Run grep pagerduty <log path> to see notifications sent to PagerDuty. This is an example of a SOFT down, which would not trigger an incident in PagerDuty: Nov 13 22:34:30 ip-10-182-165...

my own custom plugin is not working

Hi This question does not show any research effort; it is unclear or not useful I'm trying to add my own custom check to nagios. I have successfully created a bash script, that is executable from nagios user. The problem is that this script works fine from linux command line, but it's return the unk...

Re: Nagios NCPA linux network counter check

Network devices, as in appliances like a Cisco firewall, in contrast to Windows/Linux hosts, usually support SNMP out of the box and that is normally suitable to monitor them adequately (perhaps in combination with SNMP traps). Also, you couldn't install an agent in most cases. There are SNMP plugin...
