Manually running a check via ccm runs it as apache or some other user. Running it from the nagios scheduler runs as nagios.

That's an interesting question. I've always installed the plugins on the hosts, but I imagine you could install them on a share. Of course what happens when the share isn't available?

The second message seems to be the meaningful one. Try resolving that issue.

You might want to find the service that's doing the check and read it and check_http -h output.

You could read the cisco mibs and find the oids, or go to exchange.nagios.org and look for plugins.

Did you grep to see if the change was made withe sed?

This means ES isn't starting. Fix that.

Try searching the internet for the text in the subject before asking here. You get an answer in a heartbeat rather than waiting 1.5 weeks for someone to think for you.

Have you considered running check_snmp -h, reading and comprehending the output? I'll condense it for you:
