Re: Force an immediate check
I would also check Home -> Monitoring Process -> Scheduling Queue to see if the check is getting added to the queue or not.

Re: Nagios core readonly filesystem (userspace) in/since release 4.4.7
Thanks for reaching out naguser_edu , I don't believe Nagios Core would handle anything like that with mountpoints. The only instance I see of using mount in the Core codebase is mounting a RAMDISK. You should be able to change that mountpoint to rw with no problems. Let me know if you have any othe...

Re: NagiosXI 2024R1.1.2 | Event Handlers logging to event log although disabled
Thanks for reaching out snapier3 , Do you still see the events when you navigate to https://<XI Hostname>/nagios/cgi-bin/showlog.cgi ? You might want to take a look at /usr/local/nagios/etc/ndo.cfg as well. I see there is an event_handler_data setting in my ndo.cfg file. Perhaps it has something to ...

Re: Cannot connect to AD on new nagios server
On the LDAP/AD integration page, could you try clicking the Advanced dropdown at the bottom and toggling "Enable setup and authentication debugging" to get a better view of what's happening? If you are on RHEL8, can you check /var/log/php-fpm/ for the error logs? Lastly, what does the cont...

Re: XI updates not written to cfg files
I'm not sure what the cause of that could be. I would suggest opening a support ticket at https://answerhub.nagios.com/support/s/ so that the issue can be further diagnosed.

Re: XI updates not written to cfg files
Thanks for reaching out robertl , I would make sure that ndo has the correct database password for the nagios user. You can view the username and password in /usr/local/nagios/etc/ndo.cfg . If that is correct but you are still having issues, verify the nagiosql database password. You can view it wit...

Re: Upgrade Issue 5.11.3 to 2024R1.1.2
Thanks for reaching out COSIT , Before doing the upgrade, make sure that the root password is updated and accurate in /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/xi-sys.cfg and /usr/local/nagiosxi/etc/xi-sys.cfg . It will be the mysqlpass variable in that file. I'm assuming that's the only issue you are encountering. L...

Re: Monitoring Engine not running after attempted upgrade.
Thanks for reaching out @sawdusty,
Is there anything interesting in /tmp/xi-upgrade.log? I believe that's where the RPM upgrades put their logs.
