Re: [Nagios XI DB] Best Practice for mysql-8.0 (/etc/my.cnf)

Hello SBhambri , Thank you for reaching out! 1) We provide a default recommended tuning on install, but feel free to adjust them as needed. I would recommend having backups or snapshots just in case you run into any undesired/unintended outcomes. 2) Yes, the RRDCache implementation is still recommen...

Re: Error when try to install Nagios Fusion latest version

Hello abar , Thank you for reaching out! If possible, I would recommend setting up a fresh VM and selecting "Minimal Install" from the "Software Selection" section when you run through the pre-install configurations. Please feel free to reach out if you are still having any issues!

Re: Error when try to install Nagios Fusion latest version

Hello @abar!

Sorry to hear you are having issues installing Fusion.

Just to clarify, the VM you attempted to install Fusion on, was a freshly created minimal install of Oracle 8.9 correct?

Re: 2D COORD HOST

Hello acorrea ! Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately there does not appear to be a way to build update that particular data set. Re: Nagios showing services as hosts

Hi @apiedrakamai!

I would recommend attempting a database repair to see if that resolves your issue.

Log into your Nagios XI server and run the following command as root:

Code: Select all

/usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts/repair_databases.sh
If you still have any questions or issues, feel free to reach out!

Hello @ereut,

Thank you for reaching out!

I am sorry to hear you are running into this issue as well!

Just to verify, the only script you ran was the "./upgrade" one correct?

Re: APIs for Nagios

Hi @CokraMehinka,

Thank you for reaching out!

Nagios XI has API endpoints for this very purpose!
If you navigate to Help -> System Reference in Nagios XI, you will find documentation on how to do so.

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out!

Re: How to add Nagios custom states

Hi @SnowranCruzick,

Thank you for reaching out!

Unfortunately there is currently no functionality that allows adding custom states, though this is something that is on our radar.
