Hi jsimon
Thank you for your time. You are right.
I have removed the -r and I can see that the values nagios is reporting are very similar to the ones that uptime outputs.
They can't be exactly the same because they are constantly changing.
Thank you so much for your help.
All the best

CPU_load
Hello I'm puzzled by the following. I'm trying to monitor the CPU load of a server and get a warning when the average CPU load is over 80% and critical when it's over 90%. To do this I added this line on the host's nrpe.cfg command[check_load]=/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_load -r -w 38.4,38.4,38....

Re: nagios core 3.0.6 migration project ..
Hi I've never had to migrate nagios yet but I would just create a new nagios 4 setup and slowly move files across. Yes it will take time but there is already a working nagios instance. Moving your old nagios 3 config files to a new nagios 3 setup will only create more problems in the future for you....

Re: CHECK_NRPE: (ssl_err != 5) Error
Hi gwesterman
It is working now. I had nrpe installed using yum. I re-installed it using ./configure --enable-ssl.
Many thanks for pointing me to the right direction.

Re: CHECK_NRPE: (ssl_err != 5) Error
Hi Thanks for your suggestion. I've tried all the -S options but the same message was returned. I then tried the -n flag (don't use SSL) and I got this message: CHECK_NRPE: Invalid packet version received from server. This is NRPE on the client [root@alinda libexec]# systemctl status nrpe ● nrpe.ser...

CHECK_NRPE: (ssl_err != 5) Error
Hello all I'm trying to check that SSH is running on a remote host using nrpe. [root@astor plugins]# ./check_nrpe -H hostname -c check_ssh -p 22 But I get this error: CHECK_NRPE: (ssl_err != 5) Error - Could not complete SSL handshake with <IP_address:1> The remote host is running centOS7. check_smart plugin
Hello all I am trying to use the check_smart plugin on my nagios setup core 4.4.14. The plugin is here: https://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Plugins/System-Metrics/Storage-Subsystem/check_smart-2Epl--2D-physical-drive-monitoring/details When I run it locally on the host (Centos7), I get a result. Re: check_mem reports incorrect info
Hi
I tried this plugin instead: https://exchange.nagios.org/directory/P ... em/details
It works fine using the free command which is what I need.
Thank you
