NXLog not sending logs to NLS
We are using NXLOG to forward logs to NLS logstash. It was working as expected until yesterday. I checked the ES cluster and Logstash health and everything is healthy and logstash is open for receiving files. However when checked NXLOG the logs shows the below 2025-11-06 21:51:35 INFO nxlog-ce-2.9.1...

yes.
drwxr-xr-x. 2 nagios nagios 4.0K Aug 18 13:07 logstash
The directory is owned by Logstash and other servers in the cluster are able to write the logs.

Logstash.log is not created when logstash is started or restarted
Hello, I'm using NLS 2024R1.3.1. I'm not seeing logstash.log created at all in my system as part of process startup. I tried restarting using command line systmctl restart/start/stop logstash and also from GUI. System status restarting the logstash collector. 1. logstash.log is not created. 2. Logst...

Re: Migration/ Upgrade Plan of NLS 2.1.6 to 2024R1.3.1
Hi Aaron, I was the one who told the support Engineer that I created a post in Forum and shared your inputs to them. However, I closed the ticket that was opened for this migration. I'm going to try 1. Procure new RHEL- 9 servers and install Nagios Log Server 2024R2. 2. Go through Migrate data optio...

Re: Migration/ Upgrade Plan of NLS 2.1.6 to 2024R1.3.1
Hi Jason,
Thanks for your input but I'm a bit confused. So are you saying that Installing 2024R2 and selecting the migration option and providing the details of existing 2.1.6 setup is not going to work?

Re: Migration/ Upgrade Plan of NLS 2.1.6 to 2024R1.3.1
Hello Aaron, Thanks for your response! Based on what you said 2024R2 has a built in migration process and I'm assuming this is the available document regarding it. https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagios-log-server/docs/Migrating-to-Nagios-Log-Server-2024R2.pdf Where it also mentions briefly abou...

Migration/ Upgrade Plan of NLS 2.1.6 to 2024R1.3.1
Hello,
I have a cluster of 4 Centos6 servers with NLS -2.1.6 running on them. Both the O.S and Software are EOL and I'm planning on upgrading them to RHEL-9 and 2024R1.3.1.
I couldn't find a better documentation on achieving it without loosing current data. Has anyone did this before?
