Update: I found the answer in the documentation you pointed me to.
Services will inherit contact_groups, notification_interval, and notification_period from the host definition.
That still gets me most of what I was hoping for.

I need to monitor a number of web pages (specifically, sharepoint). The problem is that my environment requires NTLMv2. Using straight NTLM is not an option.
