Thank-you for the information, it helps fill in a few holes. Is it safe to say NCPA is a replacement for NSCLIENT++ or better yet the new model going forward? I am definitely using nagios to monitor my windows boxes and I want to make sure what I choose is the way of the future.

I have been using nagios for years monitoring Linux&Unix hosts [active and passive checks, wrote home grown jobs and check_by_ssh jobs] and now I have to start monitoring Windows hosts. At first I am looking to monitor just some standard things like CPU, memory, space. In the future I would like...

Documentation for NRDP

I am looking into using NRDP for passive checks and though I have the web page up and running I cannot get NRDP to accept my passive checks. The documentation for NRDP is a bit short, does anyone have any better nrdp documentation or maybe a nrdp tips & tricks/lessons learned?

Compiling nagios on Solaris-10

I am trying to compile Nagios 3.2.3 under Solaris-10 sparc 5.10 Generic_141444-09 using SUNWgcc 3.4.3 and SUNWgmake 3.8. My configure command is ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/nagios --with-command-group=nagcmd --with-gd-lib=/opt/sfw/lib --with-gd-inc=/opt/sfw/include and it seems to finish success...
