Re: NRPE Reports Inforrect Results

When I run the command locally on the "remote" server, I get these results. WARNING - load average: 2.46, 5.66, 6.73|load1=2.460;15.000;30.000;0; load5=5.660;10.000;20.000;0; load15=6.730;5.000;10.000;0; When I run the command on the nagios server, to check the remote server, it tells me C...

Re: NRPE Reports Inforrect Results

This server I am checking is running a job that takes a few hours to complete, and the time between my checking the web page and command line is maybe 2 or 3 minutes. I'm using the check_load plugin that comes standard with a nagios install. MJ Is it possible that the load average had changed betwee...

NRPE Reports Inforrect Results

I'm running Nagios Core and NRPE on my remote servers that I want to monitor. I looked at the load average in the Nagios web interface, and saw a load average on one of my remote servers as 0.00 0.01 02.3 But when I log into that server and run top, I can see a load average of 2.22 3.90 5.53 Has any...

Installing VIA Yum

Does anyone know if there is a way to install Nagios via yum, and have it incorporate the --with-command-group=nagcmd that you would supply if you compiled it from source? Or is installing it from source the only way to get the --with-command-group=nagcmd flag added?

Re: Remote Monitoring Not Working On Add On Script

Try it both ways as I don't have a usage case to test this with. Either way does not seem to make a difference. But I have stumbled upon a little bit of progress. It looks like the /etc/nagios/nrpe.cfg file needs an argument flag on the line where I define the check_raid command. Which is a little ...

Re: Remote Monitoring Not Working On Add On Script

You may have to alter the /etc/sudoers file to give permission to the check: nagios ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD:/usr/local/bin/check_raid The check was already owned by the nagios user. But I had to give the nagios user permissions to the /usr/sbin/tw_cli command through sudoers. Then the problem is in the ...

Re: Remote Monitoring Not Working On Add On Script

I use this check myself for my 3ware cards. This check requires root access. Could you post the permissions you have set on the check_raid file? What happens when you change user to nagios and try to run the plugin locally? -rwxr-xr-x 1 nagios nagios 71429 Jan 31 17:24 check_raid.pl I tried to run ...

Re: Remote Monitoring Not Working On Add On Script

What is the output of your command? /usr/lib64/nagios/plugins/chrck_nrpe -H 192.168.129.10 -c check_raid When I run the above, I get the following. WARNING: tw_cli:[No Adapters were found on this machine] What do you get when you run only this? /usr/lib64/nagios/plugins/chrck_nrpe -H 192.168.129.10...

Remote Monitoring Not Working On Add On Script

I have a Nagios Core server that is up and running, with the NRPE client configured on the additional servers I want to monitor. Their nrpe checks are reporting back to the Nagios server just fine. I have a script that I pulled off the Nagios Exchange and when I log into the server that I want to mo...

Re: RAID Monitoring

Thanks abrist. Almost done, at least I think it's almost done. I get the following error.

NRPE: Command 'disk_health.pl' not defined

Trying to track it down now.

Thanks again.
