I have a question on assign authorization for a new user in Nagios XI. If I want to create a new user and allowed that user to manage only on hosts that they are going to monitor (admin for host), what level and box should I check on Security setting when create user.

If I want to change the way a host is monitoring for example from Windows agent (NSClient) to SNMP, so I have to run new configuration wizard and the old one will be overwritten, am I correct?. Will I lost all of its performance data ? How can I keep it ?

Is it possible to specify both host and servicegroup at the same time in Availability report. Right now I can select only one of them. My boss wants only some services (servicegroup) for a host to send to customer.

Only nagios service to stop ? Any other service such as nsca, ndo2db, mysql need to be stopped or not please suggest.

Do I need to stop all nagios services before backup/restore and/or upgrade?

Currently my Nagios XI is running on RHEV (Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization) and version is 2011R2.4 (RHEL 64-bit). I want to move it to physical server and also upgrade Nagios XI to latest version. Is there any support for this task? or could you please give me a guide on this.
