So, you want anything past 5 minutes to be okay, but anything less to be critical? If not please elaborate a bit more. Can you also share the command you are running?

What do you mean by they are being removed? The services/hosts are actually disappearing? Or the check results are being cleared after restarts?

Well, since it would be a service level change you would have to disable notifications on that service for all of the hostgroups in the CCM. You could alternatively find the service that is assigned to that host from the Home > Hostgroups page, and then click the advanced tab and disable notificatio...

Okay yes, but your issue is trying to get the data from one format to the other, being mysql, you could just dump the data as you would anyways with mysql and re-insert it.

For the object, in the ccm, navigate to the Check Settings tab and set your check interval to 5, set your retry interval to 1 (one minute), then set your max attempts to 1 (essentially 1 minute looking at the retry interval). What do you mean? NDO inserts data into mysql database tables, once you pull and order the data you could technically do whatever you want with it.
