Hi,

For Network device monitoring, what is permission from snmp ‘read-only’ or ‘read-write’ string? We have concerns in our originations to enable read-write.

So is it feasible to monitor all network devices parameters with read only string?

Just I am strart doing POC for Nagios xi and core for distributed monitoring, in xi I have enabled inbound transfer setting using NSCA.

Nagios xi is my central server
nagios core is non central server

what I need to do in core? how to install NSCA in core?

When i checked line no 35 it shows below entry
BROKERHOME=/usr/webmethods/Broker

So my question is what exactly i need to change.

RHEL 5.7

No. i coudn't found any of file on remote machine.

I have installed mentioned plugin. But when i am running below command from XI, it shows below output, not really sure if WMBROKER is being monitored.... #./check_nrpe -H hostname -c checkwmbroker WMBROKER OK - Missing either /webmethods/Broker/bin/broker_status, /usr/webmethods/Broker/bin/awbrokerm...

If we are migrating from Core to XI, do we need to have Mysql Database server to each location e.g. A,B & C
And then will have one Nagios Fusion server installed centrally so that we can get centralized view of all Slaves & Masters
