Re: Missing scripts
Thanks for your explanation. I was looking for a script to check folder size though. I've found 2 so far - here: http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Plugins/System-Metrics/File-System/check-folder-size-%28linux-nrpe%29/details and here: http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Plugins/Operating-Systems...

Missing scripts
Hi, Try as I might I cannot find the checkfilesize script that is supposed to come with NSClient++. I'm running the latest version (V0.4.2) and I need to check the size of a folder containing multiple folders/files and warn me if it reaches set levels. Trouble is that the latest version of NSClient+...

Too many printer notifications!
Hi all, Right, so I've got everything configured just as I want it. The only problem I have is with notifications via email. It all works, the issue is that I don't want to know if the printer has been switched off but I do want to know if the toner is out or a paper jam, etc has occurred. So, I've ...

"No log handling enabled"
So, I have a Nagios box all up and running and monitoring all the basics of my network. I'm now looking into getting some monitoring od the state of the core switch. I have SNMP set up so that I can get the PING result back and the Uptime. The next 2 things I want to look at are the monitoring of th...

Re: Plugin install error
That fixed it! Ok, so here's my last questions, just out of interest. Clearly the libraries weren't installed. So (and forgive the newbie question), the install of openssl doesn't need the libraries to install/run in the first place? Secondly, what does the l stand for/do in the RPM query (I know wh...

Re: Plugin install error
Had a rethink and as it's found perl in the same location (/usr/bin/pearl), should I actually be pointing it at the location (/usr/bin/openssl) enclosed in inverted commas?

Re: Plugin install error
Ha! I'd just spent the afternoon figuring that very thing out. :-) The result of the ./configure shows that it's not found the openssl libs so using the switch you recommend will enable me to point it to the openssl library. Thing is now, finding it. I've looked in every lib folder I have an all I c...

Plugin install error
Hi, So, I've installed the latest version of Nagios, set up Apache, locked it down with an SSL and all works in the sense that I can get to my nagios box and see the main page and all the links within it work. The trouble is that the plugins won't install so I am constantly getting told that my serv...
