Re: check_http - Services constantly flapping

Hi,

Just to let you know that this is resolved, not seeing any trouble since the network changes.

Kind Regards,

Re: check_http - Services constantly flapping

Hi, I'll continue monitoring this over the next few days to confirm but after some more detailed investigates I found the issue was on the network. I'm unsure why it wasn't showing itself on old services, but after adding a new service I noticed the same behaviour on there (simple remote desktop por...

Re: check_http - Services constantly flapping

Hi,

Sorry, that was my mistake when manually copying over from the console (the missing '$').

I've added the timeout as suggested and the issue continues.

Is there an issue with running check_http on external websites from the host "localhost"?

Thank you.

Kind Regards,

check_http - Services constantly flapping

Hi, Been a while since I've been on Nagios, have had some major projects taking up too much time =( Setup has been running fine for quite a while now, but yesterday we needed to add http checks to 4 of our websites. This sounded simple enough, but for some reason the services are constantly flapping...

Re: Port 1 Link Status

Hi search4u2003, Could you post your check_snmp in commands.cfg please? I think it defaults as "-C $ARG1$ -o $ARG2$ -r $ARG3$ -m $ARG4$", so you would only need in your service definition "check_command check_snmp!public!ifOperStatus.1!1!RFC1213-MIB". Can't be sure, don't have ac...

Re: Nagios only checking local

Hi Wnt2bsleepin, Could you run the check_disk command on the nagios machine locally, and then again using nrpe? Both from the Nagios server. ./check_disk -w 60 -c 80 ./check_nrpe -H ftb.<remote>.com -c check_disk -a "60 80 /" If they give the same result, from the remote server you can run...

Re: my Nagios show me server's Total Processes is critica

Hi swen.zhao,

On the server "172.17.10.1" could you post the nrpe.cfg please?

Remember to remove any sensitive information.

Thank you.

Re: my Nagios show me server's Total Processes is critica

Hi swen.zhao, If I'm not mistaken, you are using the plugin "check_procs"? This plugin checks the number of processes running on your server, and warns you if the value is above your preset warning and critical thresholds. Could you post the service where you define the "Total Process...

Re: NRPE Error

Hi veenm, You are checking an nrpe connection to the localhost machine, but in this case it's the Nagios machine itself. Is this intended? Chances are nrpe won't be installed on the Nagios machine as it's not required (it just needs the plugin check_nrpe). Does nrpe work with remote hosts? e.g. ./ch...

Re: CheckDriveSize error

Hi veenm, It may be version dependent but you can add "Drive=c:" to the end of the command line, or "Drive=d:". command_line $USER1$/check_nrpe -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -p 5666 -c CheckDriveSize -a CheckAll MaxWarnUsed=$ARG1$ MaxCritUsed==$ARG2$ FilterType=FIXED Drive=c: Kind Regards, Ga...
