thank you for the reply, that document lead us to find the issue. the problem was resolved, it appears that we were using a defunct ssl cert and after replacing it ad now works.

*update* i think we have it nailed down to an ldap and/or ssl issue. it appears that our ssl cert that works everywhere else we use it, isn't working in this new release.

testing the new 2012rc4 beta on a rhel 6.3 server and can't seem to get active directory authentication to work properly.
the ad authentication plugin from nagios exchange works fine on 2011r3.2(?) with ssl and ldap, but not with the rc. i'm looking for someone who has tried it with success.
