Re: nagios plug in help
I wasn't able to find the service in the "quick find" search bar. I went back and looked at the service in the Config manager and I saw that no host was listed. I tried to add the proper host again, and it still didn't work. I then switched from Chrome to IE and adding the host worked succ...

Re: nagios plug in help
Thanks Scott. I clicked on "Apply Configuration" in the nagios core config manager. Got the message "Success! Nagios Core was restarted with an updated configuration". Still no luck though with it showing up on the Service Status page. Also I ended up rebooting after applying som...

nagios plug in help

clearing alerts
We just got thru a major network outage where our internet link was down. Now that it has been restored we are getting a flood of alerts from our offsite nagios server. Is there a way to cancel these all these alerts that were queued up ?
Thanks,
Bill

Re: setting max_check_attempts to 1 ?
At this point I'm trying to understand what the alerts are telling me. When setting max_check_attempts to 1, I think it's telling me that 20 times per day one of the services we are monitoring is not responding. Does that indicate some type of intermittent problem on our network ? Is max_check_attem...

setting max_check_attempts to 1 ?
We are testing Nagios XI and have alerts setup for 10 services. I set the max_check_attempts to 1 and was receiving about 20 alerts per day. When I switch max_check_attempts to 3, the alerts disappear. I wondering if this is something to be concerned about or if this is typical behavior when checkin...
