Re: Nagios XI Server Load
The load increase was expected since I have added a lot more checks. A majority of the checks are for status and bandwidth on network switches, check_rrdtraf and check_ifoperstatus. Thank you for the excellent link to Linux CPU loads article, that was very helpful and answered my questions.

I autoconfigured a number of devices and initially turned off notifications so that I could get them configured correctly. Now I would like to turn on notifications for all of these devices, specifically for a network switch which has 100+ status and bandwidth checks. Is there a way to easily do thi...

Re: Notify when port is up
Thank you for that information. I'm very new to Nagios XI, is there a way to modify that check in the Core Config Manager GUI?

Notify when port is up
I am monitoring the status of a switch port that is down by default and I would like to be notified when it is up. Is there any way to "reverse" the OK/Critical messages so that when the port is down that is OK and when it is up that is Critical? The port is connected to the backup control...

Monitoring host name change resets performance graphs
I'm brand new to Nagios so forgive me if this is a silly question. I added a few network switches yesterday and today I went into the Core Configuration Manager and changed the host names. Doing this reset all of the performance graphs. Is that normal behavior? Or is there a way to change the host n...
