You hit it right on the spot! Thanks! I think I understand the relationships now. I was under the false assumption that entering the correct IP address for the arg was good enough. thanks again for the quick reply.

Disclaimer: Excuse me if I use the wrong terminology or sound like a newbie, it's because I am. =) I'm using check_esxi_hardware.py on 2 different esxi hosts. I created a service for esxi1 and one for esxi2. I pull the redundant power supply cable on esxi1, and the service details screen shows error...
