I have enable SNMP on my windows computer. Firewall is disabled both on the nagios server and the windows box. I have tried editing the snmpd.conf on the nagios server (I don't know what I am doing). SNMP Plugin Timeout: No Response from *Host*

I am trying to use the built in check_snmp and can only get a response from localhost.
When I try to get snmp response my windows machine from my nagios server on CentOS I get No response.
Can someone help me with getting snmp working?

jsmurphy, you say that NsClient can do a whole lot more, can you please explain. I have multiple sources that say this but no one can explain what these are.
Please give me a list of things the the installed agent can do that the WMI or SNMP can't do

I am checking computer resources (plan to use one of the graphing plugin with) check and make sure services and processes are running on servers. Also we check ports for services that we pay for. I have a management staff that does not like to install additional software to the servers unless needed...

Thanks you for that information. I changed to my nagios user and allowed the nagios user to SSH into the remote linux machine and execute command without need a password. I created a RSA authorization for my linux servers.

Nagios Core Bash Command Does not return Variable

I created a bash script that SSH into another machine and gets a value and sets it to a variable and prints the variable out.
