Initial email setup

I watched the video and on the email portion states that a legitimate email from your domain must be used. We have a hosted email exchange, so do I need to create a user on that system and use the newly created "user" as the administrator email for Nagios?

New to Nagios and working on project so thanks in advance to any and all help. In regards to the Nagios backend DB I have found information for NDOUtil / MySQL combo, Merlin / Ninja combo, PostgreSQL and Oracle. At present there is none. That is what I am here to design. They have the idea, it's mine to create. I look forward to working with the "experts" here to assist me in my endeavor.

Thank you for the information. We will be discussing it today and I do not know how senior management will feel when it comes to cost. With that in mind, what would be the next Linux recommended base install be?
